SHOBONIER — A two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Highway 51 a mile north of Shobonier has claimed the life of a Dixon man.

Illinois State Police Reports indicate that a white Winnebago motor home pulling a Fiat driven by 78-year-old James Allen Brown of Dixon was southbound on Highway 51 when it crossed the center line and sideswiped a black Chevrolet pickup towing an enclosed trailer.

Brown was extricated from the mobile home and transported to Fayette County Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Brown’s passenger, 67-year-old Carol A. Brown, as well as Nelson and his passenger, 69-year-old Una Nelson of Mulberry Grove were all transported to Fayette County Hospital.
