(SALEM, IL) — A 20-year-old Junction City woman was ordered in Marion County Court Wednesday to undergo a sex offender evaluation after the state didn’t object to a motion filed by her defense attorney. Dallas Holt is charged with multiple child sex offenses. Her attorney had previously filed a motion court seeking the appointment of an expert witness to examine his client. According to court records, early in the case the defense attorney Steve Quinn sought to have the Amy Center in Mt. Vernon release information regarding a case surrounding Holt when she was a child and allegedly a victim of sexual abuse. Her alleged abuser was reportedly never brought to justice. The information released from the Amy Center led to Thursday’s the appointment of an expert to examine Holt in regard to the effects of the sexual abuse she allegedly suffered as a child. Holt is charged with 10 felony offenses of child sex abuse. She was arrested in October with her 47-year-old mother Patricia Speagle and 46-year-old step-father Gary Speagle. Both Speagles have been sentenced to 110 years each after they pleaded guilty to a portion of the charges they each faced. Holt is due back in court August 8 for a pre-trial hearing in her case.
