Chicago receives $14.8M federal grant for HIV treatment

CHICAGO (AP) — The city of Chicago is receiving $14.8 million in federal grants to provide treatment to low-income people with HIV. U.S. Sens. Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth announced the grants from the Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday. They say the money will go to the Chicago Department of Public Health to improve access to high-quality, community-based care.
