Dustin Lynch Admits He Was ‘Nervous and Scared’ to Lose Success

A lot has changed for Dustin Lynch since the release of his last two studio albums. A string of Number One hits and opening slots on some high-profile tours have helped Dustin relax a little and appreciate the success that has come his way heading into his third album, which will be released later this year.

He tells us: “I’ve gotten better at really enjoying the ride now. You know, I was so scared with the success of ‘Cowboys & Angels’ and even up through ‘Where It’s At’ I was so scared I would lose it. I was just nervous and scared that it was gonna go away, so I think now that we’re on a pretty good roll here the goal’s obviously to keep that going, but I’ve gotten better at soaking all this brings in and kind of enjoying the steps, enjoying these tours, enjoying the energy of our shows just growing and growing and the crowds as well, so I think it’s really for me I can kind of take a breath now. This past year I’ve been so consumed with this album that I really have kind of pushed everything in my life away so it’s gonna be good to kind of just take a breath for a few months and go, ‘Oh, this is what sunshine is,’ you know?”

Dustin is currently on the Weekend Warrior tour with headliner Brad Paisley on July 14th in Albuquerque, NM.
