Brad Paisley, Kacey Musgraves, Jamey Johnson, Jewel, Ruston Kelly and the late Chris Cornell are all part of an album honoring the music of Johnny Cash. The project, called Johnny Cash Forever Words: The Music features poetry written by the late country icon set to music.
Johnny’s son, John Carter Cash, was inspired to create the project after Brad Paisley set his father’s poem, “Gold All Over The Ground,” to music for his latest record, Love and War. “Gold All Over The Ground” was one of the 41 poems written by Johnny included in the 2016 book, Forever Words: The Unknown Poem.
So far, no release date has been announced.
