(SALEM, IL) — A 40-year-old Kell woman was arrested twice over the weekend, with Marion County Sheriff’s deputies taking her and two men into custody at their homes Sunday on drug-related charges. Rebecca Shoemaker was arrested for possession of less than 5-grams of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and meth conspiracy, as was 47-year-old Bryan Hester, of Salem. Deputies also arrested 49-year-old William Shelby, of the Lakewood Motel in Salem, on charges of possession of less than 5-grams of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three were taken to the Marion County Jail where they remain awaiting the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail. Shoemaker was also arrested by Centralia police during a traffic stop Saturday night. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was released with a notice to appear in court.
