Scientists Practicing For Solar Eclipse

(Carbondale, IL)  —  There are already a lot of eyes on the skies in southern Illinois.  Scientists yesterday started releasing test balloons in preparation for August’s solar eclipse in the southern tip of the state.  Crews from Louisiana State University spent part of their day yesterday testing high definition cameras that will film the eclipse from ten-thousand feet in the air.  The eclipse will cut across southern Illinois on August 21st.
