(Washington, DC)  —  Federal investigators say the Metro East man who opened fire on the congressional baseball practice didn’t have an accomplice. The FBI yesterday said James Hodgkinson from Belleville acted alone when he shot a congressman, an aide, a lobbyist, and a capitol police officer earlier this month. Agents told reporters in Washington D.C. that Hodgkinson didn’t have any connection to terror groups. But they can’t say what Hodgkinson’s specific motive was or if he even intended to target the baseball practice.
