(BENTON, IL) — It looks like at some point in the future you’ll be able to see movies on the big screen again in Benton. The Toler Cinema was recently sold to new owners who plan to reopen the theater. That’s according to a post on the Talk Benton Facebook page by Maranda Rush, a former assistant manager at the cinema. It has been closed for almost six years. Rush told the Benton News that she was only authorized to share the news about the theater and could not say who bought it. She says more information will be released later.
