(BENTON, IL) — The County Board Chairs of Franklin, Johnson, Massac and Williamson counties will meet Thursday in Marion to consider a person to become the new Regional Superintendent of Schools for ROE 21. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. in the Second Floor Board Room of the Williamson County Administrative Building in Marion. It’s located at 407 N. Monroe Street. The board will consider naming a new regional superintendent to replace Matt Donkin, who is leaving to become superintendent of the Franklin Community Unit School District #168 in West Frankfort the first of next month. Donkin will submit his resignation as regional superintendent to the chairmen of the county boards effective at the end of the day on June 30. Donkin will replace Dr. Greg Goins, who has been superintendent for 9 years. His contract expires at the end of this month.
