(SALEM, IL) — A dispute over a parking space reportedly resulted in a 45-year-old rural Odin man allegedly pulling a gun and pointing it at the head of another man over the weekend. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Jason Barnes was arrested for alleged possession of weapons by a felon, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession with the intent to deliver cannabis, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of cocaine. The sheriff’s department reportedly received a 911 call from a 44-year-old Centralia man who said he was able to get away after Barnes allegedly placed a gun to his head after Barnes blocked in his vehicle making it difficult for him to escape. The man reportedly told police he would have moved his vehicle if asked. Barnes denied having a gun but after receiving permission to search deputies allegedly found a gun, as well as a scale with substances that field tested positive as cannabis, cocaine, and methamphetamine residue inside a safe.
