(CARBONDALE, IL) — Carbondale Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of South Graham Street just before 8 last night. Officers responded to the area, where it was determined that those living in the home had been in an argument with acquaintances. During the course of the argument, several people brandished firearms and shot in the direction of each other.  Some of the suspects fled the area in a white Jeep, which was later located in Marion. Officers obtained a search warrant for the home after repeated attempts to contact any occupants went unanswered. Officers with the Carbondale Police Department/SIU Department of Public Safety Special Response Team served the search warrant and made entry into the home. No one was located inside. There have been no reported injuries as a result of this incident.
