MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Township High School Board of Education has announced two special meetings next week surrounding Monday’s regular meeting.

The agenda for each special meeting includes executive closed sessions regarding employment. The first meeting will be held at noon on Monday with the second meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The regular meeting is Monday night at 7.

The board will discuss a payment of general obligation debt certificate, modification of the 2017-18 school year calendar, previous board minutes, school trips, financial reports and employment. Action is also expected to be taken on a resolution authorizing the issuance of one $1.75 million tax anticipation warrant. This is taken in anticipation of taxes levied for 2016 by the board for education purposes.

All three meetings will be held at the MVTHS Board of Education board room at the school.
