(CENTRALIA, IL) — A home sustained damage around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon when shots were reportedly fired in the 300 block of North Maple in Centralia. According to Centralia police, there were no injuries reported from the five fired shots but two of the rounds did go into a North Maple home. As the vehicle the shots were fired from was driving away, it was reportedly involved in a hit and run crash with a parked car. The vehicle was later found parked and unoccupied at a home on North Walnut. The owner of the vehicle reportedly told police she had loaned the vehicle to others. Police do not believe she was in the vehicle when the shots were allegedly fired. Police have not yet identified the intended target of the shots but the incident remains under investigation.
