(SALEM, IL) — A disagreement early Monday morning resulted in a 22-year-old Centralia man being arrested after he allegedly drove his car toward another man but only managed to clip him in the leg. According to Centralia police, around 3:38  Monday morning, Blake Storey drove off the road and sped up in an apparent attempt to use his vehicle to strike Daniel Meyers who was reportedly standing on the property of Jasper’s Heating and Cooling on South Poplar Street. Meyers was reportedly avoided being directly struck by the vehicle and was only clipped on the leg. He then apparently got up and ran from the scene with Storey abandoning the vehicle and attempting to chase him on foot. Meyers managed to make it home where he then called police to report the incident. Storey was ultimately arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail where he awaits the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail.
