Questions Linger In Special Olympics Death

(Normal, IL)  —  It’s not clear when, or if, investigators in Normal will answer the lingering questions about the weekend death of a Special Olympics athlete. McLean County coroner Kathy Davis said in a statement yesterday that 43-year-old Barry Mogk died of a “fatal cardiac arrhythmia.” But that simply means his heart stopped. Mogk was set to compete in a swimming event, but no one is saying anything about a drowning or even if Mogk died in the water.
