JEFFERSON COUNTY — Bail has been set at $300,000 for a 25-year-old Mt. Vernon man arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with drug induced homicide.
The warrant accuses Khirece D. Tucker of selling drugs that caused the death of a man in November 2016. Since that time, Jefferson County Sheriff’s detectives had been working on the case with the assistance of the Mt. Vernon Police Department and the Jefferson County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Tucker was taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he awaits the formal filing of charges. According to the sheriff’s office, he has an extensive criminal history.
