Blago Attorneys Liked Pritzker Recordings

(Chicago, IL) — Attorneys for former Governor Rod Blagojevich are revealing that they tried to play wiretapped recordings of conversations with J.B. Pritzker during Blagojevich’s corruption trial. Those recently-released conversations about Pritzker taking the Obama Senate seat have become fodder for Pritzker’s opponents in the Democrat primary race for governor, but Blagojevich’s attorneys thought they made their client look good. Blagojevich lawyer Sheldon Sorosky said the tape could have showed that Blagojevich wasn’t trying to sell the seat. Judge James Zagel denied Blagojevich the opportunity to play the tape in court.
