(SALEM, IL) — Another person has been arrested on charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance stemming from an eight month investigation into the distribution of heroin and methamphetamine in the community. According to Centralia police, 25-year-old Ricosha Young, of Centralia, turned herself in Monday night on an outstanding warrant charging her with five counts unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. Young is one of approximately two-dozen people charged in the operation that utilized controlled buyers in the joint investigation by the Centralia Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office. On Friday morning 10 people were arrested in Centralia as more than 30 law enforcement officers with CPD, MCSO, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service swept across the city executing arrest warrants. Another person was arrested that morning in Salem, and two others turned themselves in Friday night, and Monday morning. Bail for Young has been set at $50,000.
