(SALEM, IL) — A 47-year-old Junction City man has been sentenced to 110-years in prison after he pleaded guilty in Marion County Court Tuesday to six of the 18 felony child sex crime charges against him. Gary Speagle received the same sentence his wife Patricia received earlier this month. Gary Speagle pleaded guilty to five of the Class X counts of predatory criminal sexual assault against him and one Class 2 count of child pornography. He received 21 years on each of the Class X charges to be served consecutively and another 5-year consecutive sentence on the Class 2 charge. Patricia Speagle was sentenced to 110 years after she pleaded guilty to four Class X charges of predatory criminal sexual assault and two counts Class 1 felony criminal sexual assault of a family member under the age of 18. Both Gary and Patricia Speagle will have to serve 85 percent of their sentences on the Class X charges. Patricia Speagle’s adult daughter, 20-year-old Dallas Holt remains in the Marion County Jail on related charges. Holt faces 10 felony charges of her own, including criminal sexual assault and predatory criminal sexual assault. She’s next due in court June 21 for a pre-trial hearing in her case. The three were arrested in October 2016 when Gary Speagle’s computer was being repaired and the technician reported finding child pornography to authorities. A search warrant for other electronic devices reportedly revealed detailed sexual acts between the family members and two young juveniles. A 16-year-old juvenile boy, while a victim in the charges brought against the adults, has charges pending in juvenile court for the sexual assault of the young girl.
