(CENTRALIA, IL) — It was seven-years ago today that a Woodstock woman visiting southern Illinois was last seen by a friend. Mount Vernon Police say Benedetta “Beth” Bentley had been staying in the Mt. Vernon area when a friend reported dropping her off at the Amtrak station in Centralia. She was never seen again. Investigators say no one with her name bought a ticket at the train station and no one has seen or heard from her since. Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads them to finding her. She has been known to use her maiden name of Rogers, or Rogers-Bentley. Beth was 41-years-old at the time of her disappearance and would be 48-years-old today.  She left behind three young sons. Cell phone records and credit card records show no activity since May 23, 2010. Beth was the first of a string of people to go missing from the area. On April 22, 2011, 75-year-old Vincent Wesselmann was last seen possibly walking near Breese Grain Company at North First Street and North Walnut Street. Vincent has not been seen since. Vincent would be 81-years-old today. That July, 28-year-old Jared Hanna, of Jerseyville, Illinois, went missing. Jared was last seen the morning of July 2, 2011 at his home. His truck was found abandoned and out of gas on July 4th, 2011 on Jolliff Bridge Road, in rural Centralia. Jared would now be 33-years-old. Jared was reported to have been seen around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2011, about two miles from where his truck was parked. Jared left behind a young daughter. On April 23, 2014, 63-year-old James “Jimmy” Romines was last seen by his neighbor around noon at his Centralia apartment. Jimmy would now be 66-years-old. Megan Paige Nichols was last seen July 3, 2014, in Fairfield, Illinois, in Wayne County. She was 15-years-old at the time of her disappearance, and would now be 18. Megan may travel to Carbondale, Illinois. Her ears and right cartilage are pierced. Keith Royer was last seen in March 2016 in Sandoval. He was first reported to the Sandoval Police Department as missing on April 7, 2016. Keith would now be 27. He has a tattoo on his back of angel wings with the word “spike,” and a skull tattoo on his right calf. Keith has been known to go between Mt. Vernon and Vandalia. All six individuals, Beth Bentley, Vincent Wesselemann, Jared Hanna, Jimmy Romines, Megan Nichols, and Keith Royer have been entered into the missing person’s database.
