(BENTON, IL) — Four West Frankfort residents were recently arrested and charged in connection with an alleged “strong armed robbery” that happened at a rural West Frankfort home on May 12. According to a Franklin County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies went to the home shortly after 8:20 p.m. in response to the reported incident. A 48-year-old Carbondale man reported that he had been a guest in the home and was attacked, beaten and robbed by four people who had then fled the scene, leaving him at the home suffering from minor injuries. The investigation led to the arrest of the four people and the recovery of some of the victim’s money and medicine. Fifty-year-old Deborah L. Wright, 26-year-old Shandale C. Johnson and 24-year-old Reanna N. Cooper were all arrested and charged with robbery and theft. Their bond was set at $30,000. Twenty-one-year-old Brandon S. Childers was charged with robbery, theft and battery. His bond was also set at $30,000. They are being held in the Franklin County Jail.
