Illinois Republicans Step Away From Trump

(Chicago, IL) — Republican Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger is breaking with his party’s leadership and is calling for an outside review of President Trump’s recent conduct and the Russian meddling in the November election. “Crain’s Chicago Business” also reports that another Illinois Republican, Peter Roskam, said it was “alarming” to read that Trump had shared classified information with Russian officials. Republican Randy Hultgren says it’s time to get some facts about what’s happening, but he, like Roskam, stopped short of endorsing an outside investigation.
