(HARRISBURG, IL) — Harrisburg residents are invited to a town hall meeting to discuss the recent increase in violent crime in the city and what can be done to stop it Monday night at 6 at City Hall, located at 110 E. Locust St. The city has seen a couple of shootings and a stabbing over the last few months. City leaders are hoping residents will come to the meeting and share their ideas on how to curb the violence. Residents can report criminal activity anonymously on the Harrisburg Crime Stoppers Facebook page. They can also call the Saline County Sheriff’s office or the Harrisburg Police Department with information if they are not on social media. You may remain anonymous.
