(ANNA, IL) — An Anna woman was sentenced Tuesday to six years in state prison for making meth. Union County State’s Attorney Tyler Edmonds says 59-year-old Sharon M. Sargent was sentenced on a charge of one count of participation in methamphetamine manufacturing – a Class X felony. Sargent will also serve a two year term of mandatory supervised release. Sargent was arrested in January of this year after an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Union County Drug Task Force showed Sargent had manufactured methamphetamine at a rural Jonesboro home between January and June of last year.
