Brenda P. Heifner, age 68 of Johnsonville, IL passed from this life to the next on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center. Brenda entered this life on June 28, 1948 at Johnsonville, and was born to Virginia (Coil) and Vernon Finley. She married the love of her life, Ron Heifner on November 19, 1967 at the Baptist Youth Camp, and was looking forward to celebrating their golden wedding anniversary this year. Brenda’s main passion was raising their two boys.  She thrived on being a flea market vender, selling arts and crafts, and specializing in children’s novelties.  She especially loved it when her mother could accompany her on these adventures.  Yard sales and e-bay reselling were two of her favorite activities.  Not only did Brenda do the Lord’s work at Wells Chapel, but following her Grandpa and Dad’s example of reaching out to youth at Union Grove Camp, she got to know each camper on an individual basis and made them know that they were loved and accepted. A friend of Brenda’s left this quote about her on Facebook after realizing she had passed:  “Miss Brenda blessed us over the years!  She loved Wells Chapel and watched the little ones in the nursery, she filled thousands of Easter eggs carefully making sure they were even for the kiddos, she helped Miss Mildred as assistant Secretary, she worked tirelessly every year in the canteen (snack shack) at church camp, served as treasurer for our Ladies Aid, decorated her trunk for trunk or treat, organized and packed boxes for Operation Christmas Child, and adored all the children that came to Wells Chapel.” Brenda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron, Two sons, Kendel (Christina) Heifner and Kevin (Misty) Heifner and five grandchildren, whom she loved dearly:  Nicholas, Devin, Joshua, Caleb and Faith.
