Centralia — A Centralia man’s bond has been set at $2,500 after he was arrested by Centralia Police over the weekend on charges of obstructing a peace officer, criminal trespassing to state property and an outstanding warrant. 38-year-old Samuel Jones was spotted by police Sunday as he was walking near Rexford and Jackson Streets. When CPD attempted to discuss the outstanding warrant, he fled the scene. Police reports indicated that Jones ran into a nearby residence on Jackson Street. The resident allowed police to enter when Jones then allegedly attempted to flee past and officer. That’s when Jones was reportedly tased and apprehended Jones has been represented by a public defender.
