(SALEM, IL) — Three Centralia men are in the Washington County Jail after they were arrested Tuesday at gunpoint on south U.S. 51 during an undercover drug buy. According to the Irvington Police Department, 39-year-old Dameon Brown, 18-year-old Kymir D. McGee, and 21-year-old Ezekel P. Rato, were arrested around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday as part of a drug deal with an undercover officer. Passersby reported seeing three men being held at gunpoint by law enforcement. The arrests were the result of an ongoing investigation by the Irvington Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office that will likely result in additional arrests. Brown was charged Wednesday in Washington County court with two Class 2 felony counts delivery of less than 5-grams of methamphetamine and Class 3 felony possession of less than 5-grams of meth. His bail was set at $40,000. McGee was charged Wednesday with Class 2 felony delivery of less than 5-grams of meth and Class 3 felony possession of less than 5-grams of meth, and his bail was set at $35,000. Rato was charged with Class 3 felony possession of less than 5-grams meth. His bail was set at $20,000. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for May 9 for Brown and May 25 for McGee and Rato. Brown was sentenced in 2011 to 8-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for Class 2 felony delivery of narcotics in Marion County.
