Lawmakers Considering Bill To Reduce Veteran Suicides

(Springfield, IL)  —  Illinois lawmakers are considering a bill to help reduce the rate of suicides among veterans in the state.  A measure approved by the House and a Senate committee this week would require the Illinois VA to establish communication with vets who have served in high-conflict areas.  The legislation would also encourage the creation of an employer-training program designed to focus on the needs of veteran workers.
