Mayor Emanuel Puts Sale Of Thompson Center On Hold

(Chicago, IL)  —  Mayor Rahm Emanuel is putting the brakes on Governor Rauner’s plan to sell the Thompson Center in Chicago.  The mayor said yesterday that the building houses one of the busiest CTA stations in the city.  Emanuel said selling the Thompson Center would mean that the station would have to be demolished and rebuilt, which could cost taxpayers 80-million to 120-million-dollars.
