CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) — Franklin County Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with the City of West Frankfort will open a Disaster Resource Center today in the lobby of the West Frankfort Public Safety Building, located at 201 E. Nolen Street in West Frankfort. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The location will be open to ALL Franklin County residents who have been affected by the disaster. Local agencies and non-governmental organizations will be on hand to provide information, distribute recovery resources and collect damage assessment reports. Flood clean up kits and other resources from the American Red Cross will be available after noon today. Meanwhile, Jackson County and Williamson County Tuesday signed flooding disaster declarations due to a variety of issues caused by extreme weather and flooding over the weekend. Franklin County issued its disaster declaration for the same reasons Monday.
