University Of Illinois Springfield Professors To Strike

(Springfield, IL)  —  Professors at the University of Illinois at Springfield are walking out of their classrooms a week before final exams. The professors’ union, University of Illinois Springfield United Faculty, yesterday said their strike starts today and will last until university leaders come to terms on a new contract. UIS leaders are telling students to still attend classes, even without their professors. The school says it will make decisions about graduation and final grades  “based on the interest of students.”
