(MARION, IL) — The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the National Prescription Drug Take Back event Saturday. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building located at 407 N. Monroe St. You will be able to dispose of unused, expired or unwanted prescription medication. This medication will be disposed of by the DEA in an environmentally safe way. You can also dispose your needles and “sharps” during Saturday’s event. They must be kept separate from your medications and will be disposed of through the sheriff’s office jail contracts.
