(BENTON, IL) — A West Frankfort woman has been arrested in connection with a recent home burglary and theft in rural Benton. Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones says deputies were investigating the incident Sunday when they arrested 37-year-old Jessica J. Dawson and recovered several stolen items including a loaded .38 caliber gun. Dawson is tentatively charged with burglary theft, theft of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, identity theft and possession of a controlled substance.
