(MASCOUTAH, IL) — A crash occurred yesterday morning which involved a school bus and another vehicle.  The School bus was traveling along Illinois 161, a-quarter-of-a-mile west of North County Road in Mascoutah, when a fight broke out on the bus.  The driver, trying to get the students to stop, did not realize that he was drifting into the westbound lane of 161.  That was when a GMC vehicle, which was heading west, went right to avoid getting struck head-on.  The bus ended up colliding with the GMC head-on.  The GMC driver suffered serious injuries in the accident and had to be transported to a hospital using via helicopter.  The School bus driver was uninjured with several juvenile passengers being treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.  Illinois State Police is currently investigating the crash.
