(SALEM, IL) — A Saturday night traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old Centralia woman on drug-related charges. According to police, Elizabeth Nauert was arrested after officers allegedly noticed an odor of cannabis coming from her vehicle during a traffic stop and a white powdery substance around her nose. After Nauert gave officers permission to search her vehicle they reportedly found methamphetamine, multiple types of prescription narcotic pills, cannabis, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail where she remained Sunday night.
