Peoria Prosecutors Not Sure About New Trial In 1970 Killing

(Peoria, IL)  —  Prosecutors in Peoria say they’re reviewing what’s left of the case against a man accused of killing a Peoria County deputy in 1970. They’re not sure if they will push for a new trial against Cleve Heidelberg. A judge in Peoria yesterday vacated Heidelberg’s conviction in the case, citing new evidence.
