(SALEM, IL) — A 49-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to 2-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty Tuesday in Marion County Court to a felony violation of the sex offender registry. Sean Williams was arrested in December and charged with Class 3 felony failure to report a change of address or employer. A registered sexual predator, Williams was originally placed on the sex offender registry after he was convicted in Jefferson County of Class 2 felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a 13-year-old victim. Williams was 46 at the time of the abuse. He was sentenced to 48-months probation after a Jefferson County jury found him guilty in 2014.
