Bill Would Ban Government Employees From Removing Airline Passengers

(Springfield, IL)  —  Illinois lawmakers are considering a new bill that would prevent government employees from forcibly removing certain passengers from an aircraft.  State Representative Peter Breen introduced the Airline Passenger Protection Act yesterday.  The measure states that a properly ticketed and peaceful person can’t be removed from a plane.  The bill comes after Dr. David Dao was dragged off a United flight at O’Hare Airport last week by Chicago aviation officers.
