Mt. Vernon — The wait is over for a winner in the Mt. Vernon American Legion’s Queen of Hearts Contest. The weekly drawing was down to a final card in the deck, assuring that the winning name was guaranteed the jackpot.

Anita Bumgardner of Salem won $107,000 on Friday night. Her ticket was drawn amongst the thousands in the lottery. Over 600 people attended the event.
