(MCLEANSBORO, IL) — The McLeansboro City Council met Tuesday night and approved several items including giving the City Clerk the go ahead to publish bids for utility trucks. The council gave Hamilton County Telephone Cooperative permission to lay optic fiber on Cone Street between Lincoln Drive and South Hancock. Mayor Dick Deitz along with Mike Stanart, City Attorney Tom Malkovich will be the negotiation committee for collective bargaining talks with the Laborers’ Union. It was announced that National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day is set for May 4.
