(NEW MINDEN, IL) — IDOT crews will be working on Northbound and Southbound lanes on Illinois Route 127 from .1 miles north on Mockingbird Lane all the way to the four way stop at Illinois Route 177 in New Minden.  That area will be down one lane, starting on April 24^th.  Work is going to take place on weekdays from 6am to 8pm.  IDOT is going to remove and replace the pavement and shoulders of the roadway.  Also, starting on April 24^th as well, the eastbound entrance ramp at Exit 50 on I-64 will see construction.  That exit ramp will be closed for 8 days as crews will be completing pavement repairs.  Anybody that is traveling anywhere between I-64 to New Minden on Route 127 is asked to seek alternative routes.  Detour routes will be shown at the side of the streets and traffic is expected.  Motorists are urged to use caution through the work zones and obey all laws while going through the zone.
