(CARBONDALE, IL) — An arrest has been made in last month’s fatal shooting of Javon Trott in Carbondale. Carbondale Police say they were notified Tuesday by the Craighead County, Arkansas Sheriff’s Department that 22-year-old Jarrell Pullen had just been arrested in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Pullen was wanted on the outstanding Jackson County, Illinois warrant, charging him with first-degree murder. The shooting happened on March 9 in the 400 block of East Willow Street. Trott, who was from Johnston City, was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale where he later died. Pullen was lodged in the Craighead County Jail and will await extradition proceedings. Carbondale Police detectives continue to investigate Trott’s death and are in communication with authorities in Arkansas.
