(CENTRALIA, IL) — The City of Centralia is pleased to announce Goodwill Industries International, Inc. is the second retailer committed to occupy the former Tom’s Price Right Foods building in Centralia. Goodwill Industries International, Inc. operates over 3200 stores in the United States and Canada, and many accept donations of clothing and household goods. Some local Goodwill stores or donation centers also accept donated electronics, computers and furniture. Local Goodwill organizations sell those items in Goodwill stores and online, generating revenue to fund job placement and support services, including child care and financial education. In a news release, Economic Development Director Kala Lambert indicated that the building is being redeveloped as it has been vacant since 2013. Lambert states that Dollar Tree and Goodwill are planning to open in late Summer 2017 while developers are seeking a 3rd tenant to occupy the remaining 3741 square feet available.
