Royalton Woman Arrested For Obstructing Justice

(BENTON, IL) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office arrested a Royalton woman Thursday on a warrant for obstructing justice – a Class 4 felony. According to Sheriff Don Jones, 38-year-old Elizabeth L. Alldredge is charged with furnishing false information to investigators with the intent to obstruct the prosecution of Curtis Carr in a sexual grooming case. Jones says the crime is alleged to have happened on March 15. Alldredge is lodged in the Franklin County Jail on $20,000 bond. Carr was recently indicted by a Franklin County grand jury on three counts of child pornography, one count of indecent solicitation of a child and one count of grooming. This all allegedly happened in June or July of last year according to Franklin County State’s Attorney Evan Owens. Carr remains in the Franklin County Jail on $250,000 bond. His arraignment is set for April 12 at 1:30 in Franklin County Court.
