(CARBONDALE, IL) — A Carbondale man is being bars after Carbondale Police officers were sent to a home in the 300 block of East Birch Street last Wednesday morning regarding a report of a disorderly conduct and trespass complaint. When police arrived around 6 a.m., they identified the subject of the complaint as 25-year-old Devonte M. Perrian. Perrian resisted officers’ efforts to arrest him by biting, scratching and gouging the eyes of an officer. Perrian managed to flee and evade capture at that time. Officers got an arrest warrant for Perrian, charging him with aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass to a residence. Bond on the warrant was set at $75,000.Then around 10:30 a.m. last Friday, police received information that Perrian was inside a home in the 2500 block of New Era Road. Officers located and arrested Perrian without further incident. He was transported to the Jackson County Jail, where he was locked up.
