(MT. VERNON, IL) — Authorities have released the identity of a 44-year-old Mt. Vernon motorcyclist killed Sunday in a crash with a semi-truck in Mt. Vernon. A preliminary investigation says that around 8 p.m. Sunday, the 73-year-old driver of the semi pulled off Interstate 57 at Exit 94, decided to re-enter the highway, didn’t stop at the stop sign, and pulled into the path of a motorcycle driven by Donald Christopher Hopkins.
