(MOUNDS, IL) — The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a man charged with attempted murder after shooting a police officer in Mounds last July turned himself in at the sheriff’s office Wednesday. Officials say 17-year-old Nigel Williams is lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on $250,000 bond. According to WSIL-TV, Williams was released on a recognizance bond in January to avoid violating speedy trial provisions. Mounds Police went to Williams’ home around 9 Monday night to see if he was home by curfew, a condition of his release. He left out the back of the home and was on the run until Wednesday.
