(WEST FRANKFORT, IL) — It seems the teachers union in West Frankfort doesn’t think too highly of Frankfort Community Unit School District 168 Superintendent Dr. Greg Goins. Teachers revealed their vote of no confidence in Goins during the district’s school board meeting at Frankfort Intermediate School Monday night. Teachers held the no confidence vote in January and waited until after approving their contract to let Goins know their feelings. Goins told WSIL-TV he got the letter by certified mail hours before the meeting, but learned about the vote on Facebook Saturday. Teachers claim Goins only cares about technology and not the daily operations of the schools. They also say their pay hasn’t increased much while Goins got a 2 percent raise. Goins has been superintendent for nine years. His contract ends at the end of June next year.
