(East St. Louis, IL) — Police in East St. Louis say a man who robbed a gas station later called on them for help. KMOV-TV reports Brandon Cotton of Florissant is accused of holding up a BP gas station on Sunday. He was spotted by a police officer, who says he saw a gun on the suspect, and fired two shots. Cotton wasn’t hurt, and allegedly fled to St. Louis. That’s when cops say he called them to report someone had been shooting at him. Cotton is now charged with robbery, as well as another unrelated offense.
